Jayson
Brian Schwarz
Jayson Brian Schwarz, was called to the bar
of Ontario in 1978. He graduated from the University of Windsor Faculty
of Law in 1976, and has practiced in the area of corporate/commercial
transactions, real estate and personal injury litigation since that
time. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates'
Society and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He has been involved
in international commercial transactions involving various American,
Caribbean and European jurisdictions. He has appeared before the various
courts of the Province of Ontario, as well as numerous administrative
tribunals, such as the Ontario Insurance Commission, the Immigration
Appeal Board, the Worker's Compensation Appeal Tribunal, and the Unemployment
Insurance Commission. He worked with the law firm Prousky & Biback
from 1978 to 1982, in solo private practice from 1982 to 1986, and
with the firms of Walker, Gold, Fox & Schwarz, and latterly Walker,
Fox & Schwarz until November 30, 1996. On December 1, 1996, Jayson
Schwarz and Michael Gillen formed the firm of Schwarz, Gillen.
Michael
John Gillen
Michael John Gillen, was called to the bar of
Ontario in 1980. He graduated from the University of Toronto with
a B.A. in 1975, and from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law
in 1978. He has practiced civil, criminal and general practice with
Murphy, O'Brien & Vella in Oshawa from 1980 to 1984, was an Assistant
Crown Attorney in Whitby from 1984 to 1993, rising up to the level
of Crown Law Officer III, and was appointed as a "wiretap agent"
by the Attorney-General of Ontario in 1991. He has worked in the field
of civil and criminal litigation, with particular emphasis on personal
injury and motor vehicle litigation, and has appeared at all levels
of courts in Ontario. He has also appeared before various administrative
tribunals, such as the Ontario Insurance Commission, the Unemployment
Insurance Commission, the Worker's Compensation Board and the Social
Assistance Review Board. Michael has lectured in educational sessions
for the Ontario Crown Attorney's Association, the Ontario Provincial
Prosecutors Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario
Insurance Commission. From 1993 to November 30, 1996, he worked in
the law firm of Walker, Fox & Schwarz. On December 1, 1996, Michael
Gillen and Jayson Schwarz formed the firm of Schwarz, Gillen. Michael
now practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation before
courts and administrative tribunals in Ontario.
Schwarz, Gillen is a full service law firm,
with emphasis in the areas of real estate law, civil litigation, corporate/commercial
law, international transactions, personal injury claims, motor vehicle
accident claims, worker's compensation claims, and criminal law. The
