The Association  (GTHBA) is made up of more than 900 member companies including home builders, renovators, manufacturers and suppliers, sub-contractors, service, professional and financial firms. Our members account for more than 80% of all new homes built in the GTA on an annual basis including everything from single detached to semi-detached to townhomes (freehold and condo) as well as new condominium apartments or conversions.

The association was established in 1921 and celebrated its 75th anniversary during 1996.

Community Partners
The Association believes strongly in giving something back to the community and announced a community partnership with Touchstone Youth Centre in December, 1996. Touchstone provides emergency shelter for youths between the ages of 16 and 20 suffering abuse or intolerable living conditions at home.
